Alastair Hood, PhD - Partner
Experience
– Alastair has international business and technical development
experience working with emerging growth companies in the areas of
cleantech & nanotechnology in the UK, Ireland and the US. A former consultant for the UK government's Department of
Trade & Industry he worked across a wide range of businesses and disciplines successfully implementing the government's Strategic Management Program.
Part
of the founding team and Development Director of Nanosight Ltd
(former Board member and a Non-Exec Director), a highly focused
nanotechnology instrumentation firm developing single nanoparticle
analysis systems. Alastair now advises the company on business and
product development, recruitment and US strategy. He received his PhD
in Optical Engineering and undergraduate B.Eng (Hon's) degree in
Electronic Communications Engineering from the University of Plymouth,
UK.
