Utilizing
the methane from coal mines as the fuel for 40 mw electric power, on
site generation stations and using a patented distillation process to
turn the mineral laced mine water to potable water is the primary focus
of one Brisbane, Australia based technology company that Marquis
includes in its portfolio of client companies. Steve Anderson, Managing
Partner, is a member of the Advisory Board.
The
Company’s technology emerged ahead of the “clean-tech” curve, and first
found acceptance in India and China, after an initial, pre-emptive
foray in the United States where the problems existed but incentives to
change did not exist at the time. A U.S. corporation was formed to
establish a presence, while the company’s main administrative and
technology offices remain in Brisbane.
Marquis’
role, represented by Steve, has been over several years where he has
been involved in the development of the business plan and funding
documents in the second phase of the company, and has worked closely
with the chairman and founder in corporate strategy and capital
raising.
