Australian company
with sophisticated software product that provides enterprise
organizations with a unique solution to manage large scale services
contracts. The company engaged Marquis Advisory Group after having
gained success with major customers (second largest bank and largest
telecommunications) in its home country and turned its focus to the
U.S. Objectives were to establish legal corporation and organization in
the U.S., transfer the intellectual property and share ownership to the
U.S. and begin operations and sales in the U.S. Company currently has
four major (multimillion dollar) contracts pending, two with U.S.
government agencies and two with public companies. In addition, it is
nearing completion of equity funding with an Australian investment bank
of over $6M.
Software
An Australian
software company has established itself in the Australian market with
some major customers and has been telemarketing its software into the
US from Sydney, to the point where it is clear that traction has been
accomplished and the establishment of a US company is needed to grow
the US market. At that point Marquis Advisory members stepped in and
provided a full panoply of start up services, including legal, tax,
accounting, premises, hiring, employee benefits, US style contract
documentation, marketing strategy and appointment of sub distributors.
Of particular importance, a ’running start’ was delivered via the
Marquis Advisory Group's existing US facilities. Later, assistance was
given on US equity capital raising and bank debt facilities and then
subsequently on US joint venture partners. The net effect was a turbo
charged start and the prevention of the usual classic errors
invariably made by market entrants going it alone, the most costly
being the loss of momentum resulting from the missteps.
